FROM OUR STORIES

Volunteer with ACCP

Whether you are a specialized pediatric therapist, special education teacher, or just passionate about children, your hands can build dreams in Uganda.

Ways to Serve

We welcome both local volunteers from within Uganda, and international practitioners who wish to share specialized expertise in clinical development or grant mobilization.

  • In-Country Clinical Support

This option takes place during weekly therapy clinics held in Mukono. It welcomes professional physiotherapists, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists to join the team. Volunteers in this track focus on running specialized coaching seminars for caregivers.

  • Inclusive Classroom Teaching

This role is based in Kampala within special needs primary school classrooms. Volunteers serve as tutors and educators to support children in their learning environment. Activities include reading to students, teaching Ugandan Sign Language, assisting blind children with Braille, and leading creative sensory crafts.

  • Remote Skills Placement

This track is designed for individuals who cannot travel to Uganda but still want to support the mission. Volunteers work entirely online to assist the organization with essential digital and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include copywriting, website management, social media promotion, fundraising advocacy, and grant writing.
